There is simply too much to do at this year’s Tour de Tykes to fit into one day; so we made it two days!  The schedule has been flipped this year so the downhill race, Hill climb, Huffy toss and Short track are all on Saturday.  Saturday night we cap the festivities of the day with two bands and camping at the Hess Field recreation area.  Sunday is the grand cross country event that

is the mainstay of the weekend.

This is the sixth year for the Tour de Tykes.  Despite the name, this race isn’t just for kids.  The Tour de Tykes is a world class cross country mountain bike race held in Central Pennsylvania.  The name was derived from the fact that all proceeds are donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.
